Our holding, covering more than 75 ha (185 acres) of vineyards and is located close to the village of Corona in the DOC Friuli Isonzo area, in the most northeasterly part of Italy, bordering Slovenia.

The area, bordered to the south by the Adriatic Sea, and to the north by the Carnic Alps, enjoys a unique climate as a result of the confluence of several winds: the Bora, a cold stinging wind coming from the east and the Scirocco, warmer and more humid, coming from the sea. The Bora in particular favours a slow, but constant maturation, producing grapes that are more concentrated and better balanced, with richer flavours and aromas.

The soil is characterised by great richness in elements, especially aluminium and iron, giving the wines a unique taste, faithful to its terroir of origin.
In fact, the type of rock and the soil affect the absorption of water and minerals by the vines, so that the wine is ineluctably linked to the area that produces it.
Not by chance does the name “I FERRETTI”, a precious collection of wines, aged in 500 litre French oak casks, recall the name of the area from which they come.
